[ She doesn't fuss when he takes her cheek, turns her more towards him, nor does she seem unnerved by the sight of his eyes, the depth in them. When one has looked into the heart of the TARDIS, the very Vortex itself (and can remember it, now), not much else seems to disturb her. That isn't to say she doesn't feel the drowning pull, the itch in her skull as if he's looking into her, rather than simply at her features.

So she focuses instead on the flecks of gold in his eyes, the differences there that stand him out apart the masses of humanity. She's seen plenty of species in her lifetime, but these gods of Asgard... Are still more different than anything she's come across. Then again, this is the first time she's had a chance to look up close.

Whatever it is he's looking for though, be it Thiazi's darkness, her poison tainting (it may be there in some cases; the whole city is infected, aren't they? But there's more there, too. More darkness, more light and scarring on her soul that isn't natural to a human. You burnt like the sun.

Funny, how she can still hear the whispers of a wolf's howl, but whether it's the one she's been hearing for days now, lacing her nightmares and taunting form the shadows, or something that's more the Wolf in Man's skin before her, is anyone's guess. ]

[ Well, that's a bit of a let down. At least in the one sense. (The not killing her is a good thing though, definitely.) But at his conclusion, she frowns. If it were possible to look at your own face (sans reflection), that's probably just what she'd be attempting. ]

...Nothing? I mean- Yeah, great I'm not being sent out t'murder anyone, that's fantastic, brilliant. But there's nothing else? Everyone's been acting out and-- [ A thought suddenly occurs, and she turns a queried eye towards the man who (hopefully) is still there with her. ]

You lot aren't affected or anything, are you? Can you .. Feel it? Outside of us, I mean. --S'pose then it's just .. me hurting people. The blackouts must have something to do with it though, wouldn't they?

[ She's more talking to herself by the end of that. ]

[ Better to try and figure it out than to sit with her thumb up her arse though, isn't it? Rose likes to think so. ]

I wouldn't recognize magic if it slapped me in the face, anyway. I'm a science girl, me.

[ Not to say she doesn't .. necessarily believe it, anymore. Being in Asgard this long kind of alters your views on things. But oh. Cancerous. That's a lovely image. ]

An' we still aren't sure who's infected an' who isn't, yet. S'too bad there's no ... mass scanner we could use. Hook it up to your sight or somethin'. But- Thanks. For making sure.

[ ... ] I still have to get .. cleansed, yeah? Something tells me it's a bit more than a hot bath.

[ She lets out a breath at his affirmation. No, she didn't have to die. Much as she'd ... be sort of willing, to let herself be 'cleansed', she'd rather not have to let him stick her with claws or something. One death is more than enough for her knock on wood. ]

Somethin' got into the city, and ... Like in the water, or somethin'. Figuratively speaking. So we find those who're .. more dangerous. An' hand them over or- or do it ourselves?
